Overland by train and coach

This year, in addition to the usual travel arrangements, the pilgrimage committee has put in place the opportunity to travel to Lourdes by coach and train. Coaches will be organised to take pilgrims from deaneries, parishes, and schools around the diocese to Calais via the ferry from Dover to connect with a chartered TGV train solely for the use of the Diocese of Salford. 

Those who choose to travel by coach and train will leave the diocese on the evening of Tuesday 2nd August, arriving in Lourdes on Wednesday afternoon, with seven nights hotel full board, and return on Wednesday 10th August.

By Air

The pilgrimage committee has also made plans for air travel and the pilgrimage flight will leave Manchester on Wednesday, 3^rd August, 2010 and return in the evening of Tuesday, 9^th August, 2010 with six nights full board accomdation in Lourdes.
