Alpha – A Day in the Diocese

The Alpha UK Catholic Context team will be hosting two sessions, one for parishes new to Alpha, and one for those running Alpha already.

On the Eventbrite booking form, you will be able to choose either the morning session, if your parish is new to Alpha, or the afternoon session, if your parish already runs Alpha.

You are welcome to attend both sessions. Both will take place on Saturday 26th March 2022. If you wish to attend both, please select a ticket for both sessions.

Morning Session

New to Alpha – 10:00am – 12:45pm

The Alpha UK Catholic Context team will be hosting sessions that explore what Alpha is and how it works in a Catholic setting as a tool for evangelisation and hospitality. Alpha can play a key role in helping parishes bear fruit as the Hope in the Future and synod conversations continue and we seek to grow in confidence in our mission as a Church post-pandemic.

This session will primarily be for those new to Alpha.

10:20am – ‘Alpha isn’t Catholic enough’

10:50am – Testimony from a parish

11:00am – Break

11:15am – Come & See

12:15am – What’s next?

12:30pm – Q&A

12:40pm – Prayer

Afternoon Session

Already running Alpha – 1:30pm – 3:45pm

The Alpha UK Catholic Context team as we gather to explore how you can maximise Alpha’s potential and shift culture within your parish towards mission. We will look at some of the best practices to grow your Alpha as well as having time for questions, discussion, worship and prayer.

This is primarily aimed at parishes running Alpha already.
