Celebration of St. Joseph with artwork from Ambrose Barlow RC High School

Cathedral of St John, Chapel Street, Salford, M3 5LE
Monday 19th March 2018
10.30am

A pupil from St. Ambrose Barlow RC High School will give a brief talk about  her inspiration to paint St. Joseph and Mark Wiggin, Director Caritas Diocese of Salford will share the Caritas story of St. Joseph.

The background to this occasion is as a result of the success of the Christmas production of a ‘Modern Day Holy Family’, a reflection on the poverty of the world expressed through the lives of people experiencing hardships. The student who produced the artwork for the advertisement – has gone on to base her A level art exam on St. Joseph. The gift this to Caritas is a reminder of how the school and the diocese through Caritas collaborated on the Modern Day Holy Family initiative.

As Monday March 19th marks the feast day of St. Joseph, we will host at 10.30am a short liturgy and an unveiling at the Cathedral, followed by a visit to the new Cathedral café.

Everyone is welcome!
