Bishop Terence celebrates Mass in prison |
Monday, 26 December 2011
Prisoners heard again the good news of the Christmas message from Bishop Terence who celebrated Mass in HMP Manchester on the morning of Christmas Day. During this past week Bishop Terence has also visited HMP Forest Bank for the celebration of Mass and HMP Buckley Hall for a Carol Service.
Christmas is a time when those in prison feel particularly isolated and our bishop wanted to assure them of God's love for them and to share with them something of the joy and hope that flows from the birth of Jesus.
We keep in our prayers those in prison, those in hospital, those serving abroad in the armed forces and all who are alone or away from their families and friends this Christmas.
