Job Vacancy: Safeguarding Co-ordinator

The diocese is seeking to recruit an outstanding individual to implement procedures, co-ordinate, support and promote the Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults within the diocese. 

The successful applicant will:

  • provide professional advice to the Diocesan Safeguarding Commission, 
  • undertake appropriate casework,
  • liaise with relevant statutory authorities,
  • establish and monitor Covenants of Care,
  • design and deliver a proactive approach to safeguarding training for clergy, religious congregations and volunteer parish representatives throughout Diocese.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualifications and have a related professional background in safeguarding.

This is a full-time post although part-time/job-share may be considered for candidates with relevant skills in either safeguarding casework or training. The successful candidate will have access to independent means of travel.

Location: Cathedral Centre, Salford. M3 6DP.
Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience (pro-rata for part-time)
