On Thursday 5th July, Canon Anthony McBride, Episcopal Vicar for the Department of Formation, celebrated Mass for the retiring primary-school and secondary-school head teachers of the Diocese of Salford.

Seven of the head teachers attended with their families to celebrate a thanksgiving Mass for all they have achieved during their many years of dedicated service to the diocese.

At the end of the Mass, Kevin Quigley, Director of Education, gave a short testimonial about each head teacher that had been provided by members of staff, children, students, parents and governors about the wonderful service given by the head teachers at their schools.

Canon McBride thanked each head teacher individually and presented each one with a book, Benedictus, in recognition of their devoted service to our diocesan schools.
