When Pope Benedict XVI visits the United Kingdom, people worldwide will be able to watch through the Eternal Word Television Network.

The EWTN Global Catholic Network announced that it will air the events of the Pope's visit to England and Scotland on television in various languages: English, Spanish, French and German.

The events will also be streamed live on the organization's Web site and broadcast through its radio network.

Raymond Arroyo, EWTN news anchor, who will report on the events, stated, "To my mind, this visit to the United Kingdom is to Pope Benedict XVI's papacy what Pope John Paul II's visit to Poland was to his."

"Not enough attention is being paid to the historicity of this seismic moment," he added.

In addition to televising the events, the network is going to offer interviews of various people, such as feature Deacon John "Jack" Sullivan, who experienced a miraculous healing after praying through the intercession of Cardinal John Henry Newman, due to be beatified during the Pontiff's visit.

Other interviews include: Cormac Cardinal Murphy O’Connor, former archbishop of Westminster; Lord David Alton, a member of Parliament; Archbishop Vincent Nichols of Westminster; and Anglican Archbishop Rowan Williams.

The television programs will explore various historical places of the Church in England, including the Birmingham Oratory and the rooms where Cardinal Newman lived and worked, and Westminster Hall, where Saint Thomas More was condemned to death.
