Maryvale Certificate in RCIA Catechesis | Commences 10th Sept

This one-year, distance learning programme, leads to the Maryvale Certificate in RCIA catechesis. It is intended for catechists involved, or intending to be involved, in RCIA in their parishes. 

 

The Certificate in RCIA aims to provide:-

A solid foundation for understanding the different stages of the RCIA process which has catechetical, pastoral and liturgical dimensions based on the Rites.

Opportunities for personal growth in faith and the spiritual life, especially  through study days and retreat days.

Methods for communicating and planning effectively.

Assistance in using the key sources for developing RCIA catechesis.

An understanding of the different responsibilities of those involved in RCIA and of how to equip oneself to meet these responsibilities.

The course requires approximately 3 to 5 hours of study a week (term time only) and attendance at 3 study days (one Saturday per term) for guidance, personal tutorial support, lectures and spiritual growth.
