The Schoenstatt Fathers in Kearsley offer a special monthly family Mass for all families of the diocese. Here they tell us what is on offer:

The promises of God will change your life! When God Our Father keeps his promises what can we expect him to do during the year? He will offer us a personal experience of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, who will bring alive in new ways the graces of our Shrine.

Vision and Family Activity

For all who approach Him in faith and humility, God offers:

• a renewed, deeper, personal experience of the Father’s love in our family.
• a deeper repentance and desire to let God be God -
• a new way of looking at and living our life as a family.
• a greater openness to the gifts of the Holy Spirit for service and mission of our family to others.
• Let us taste the love of God and see what happens.

TASTE AND SEE

Family Mass on the 2nd Sunday of each month at the
Schoenstatt Shrine

All families are invited. We want you to get a taste for God in your family and together with other families we want you to see that building your home and nurturing your family is building God’s Kingdom. In this first year of this new initiative for young families we look at God as our Father who keeps his promises in the Covenant.

Celebration of Holy Mass as a family
We will start each Sunday with the celebration of holy Mass. We look forward to welcoming you with your children. Following Mass we have have a meal with one another at our shared table. We hope that during this time you will have the opportunity to spend time with your own children and to meet up with other families.

Throughout this first year we want to consider our relationship as a family to God as a Father who keeps his promises. We will do so by looking at the graces of the Schoenstatt Shrine which have deep relevance for families today especially when the families have young and teenage children:

• the grace of finding and being at home;
• the grace of inner transformation experienced in a change of heart;
• the grace of reaching our to other families and accompanying them on their journey to taste and see the love of God in the lives of their families.

Building a home is sharing in building God’s Kingdom. Helping our children to grow and mature is giving them a new outlook on their life’s journey.
