Marie Stopes producing beer mat ads |
Wednesday, 25 August 2010
In its latest attempt to gain a foothold and extend its anti-life influence in Ireland, abortion giant Marie Stopes International has started advertising on pub beer mats. Marie Stopes flooded pubs in Dublin with the ads for vasectomies, but drinkers first thought they were for something else entirely.
One man said: “When I saw the front of the beer mat I assumed it was advertising condoms, but then I turned it over and had a bit of a shock.”
Marie Stopes Programme Director, Gabrielle Malone, says that they are considering rolling out the campaign across the whole of Ireland. She recently said: “The campaign tied in with the World Cup because we knew a lot of guys would be in pubs watching the matches with their mates and we thought it would be a novel way to attract their attention. It was targeted in Dublin for the first campaign and we will now be looking at doing it another time throughout the whole of Ireland.”
