Education
School visits |
Members of the Office for Education visit schools on a regular basis.
For concerned teachers, these visits are not inspections, so relax! We want staff to share with us their successes and plans so that the achievements of schools can be acknowledged and celebrated. The visits should:
- last between one and one-and-a-half hours;
- involve a discussion with the headteacher on school community related issues;
- enable staff to tell the office what is done well;
- give the Office the opportunity to inform staff of how the diocese might support the school;
- involve a tour of the school;
We hope to visit each school over a two-year period. This will also help the Office for Education enormously when discussions are held with Local Authorities.
A school visit form is available here.
