The diocesan curia consists of those institutions and persons which assist the bishop in the governance of the whole diocese, especially in guiding pastoral action, in caring for the administration of the diocese, and in exercising judicial power.

Overseas Mission of the Church

Our diocese has a long tradition of supporting overseas missionary work.

Fr John Sullivan is the director of this Office. Primarily his work involves promoting support for overseas missions in parishes and schools throughout the diocese. His principal task is the promotion of the work of the Pontifical Mission Societies in the diocese. Fr Sullivan also liaises with the Commission for Faith and Justice and with CAFOD Salford.
