Office for Marriage and Family Life

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintEmail

The family is the basic cell of society. It is a communion of persons called to serve life, to be open to life and to participate in the development of society as a believing and evangelising community (cfr Catechism of the Catholic Church 1602 ff). Amongst its tasks the Office for Marriage and the Family helps priests in parishes to counsel and direct families.  It also develops associations of the faithful dedicated to the family and directly supports families who must live in the midst of a culture where customs and conception of life work contrary to the Gospel. It will ensure that the diocese keeps the family at the centre of Evangelisation.
