The necessity of vocation in the Church

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintEmail

All people are called to follow Christ (Catechism of the Catholic Church 694), to holiness (CCC 825), and to the unity of the Catholic Church (CCC 836-838); The Department for Vocation re-echoes this call and encourages and facilitates people's response. Within the unity of the Church's mission in the Diocese of Salford this Department comprises three offices which, at the request of the Bishop, each support three particular responses made possible by God's grace. They are the Office for Religious Life and Ecclesial Movements, the Office for Marriage and Family Life and the Office for Priestly Vocations.
