There is a new diocesan charity, CARITAS Diocese of Salford.

The new charity is a kind of ‘umbrella’ for all charitable works in the diocese.

It is hoped that CARITAS DIocese of Salford will become so integrated in parish and school life that the people of the diocese will not only own it as their own but come to see that all the welfare, ethical and moral imperatives given to the Church through her social teaching are actively being addressed.
