I chose to take part in the visit because, although it sounds clichéd, it really is an experience of a lifetime. I also thought that seeing the Vicar of Christ and meeting other young Catholics would strengthen my faith, which it certainly has.
I think the thing I will remember most about the visit was the atmosphere. There were so many people and, with each diocese wearing a different-coloured T-shirt, we created a whole rainbow of young people united by our faith. Everywhere we went, people from other dioceses would ask us where we were from and everyone was so friendly. Everyone coming together to worship made me so glad to be a Catholic and to be part of something so big. I would like to thank everyone who helped organise the trip and gave me this opportunity – they have given me an experience I will never forget.
