From Faith to Experience: taking a further look at natural theology
Our starting point will be the comment made by Cardinal Newman: “I believe in design because I believe in God; not in a God because I see design.” We will consider how Alister McGrath and John Polkinghorne have developed a natural theology, which moves from God to man rather than in the reverse direction. We will conclude by exploring Polkinghorne’s thinking about science and the Trinity utilising such an interpretative framework.
