Chaplaincies

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble Psalm 46:1

It is a common misconception that the only definition of a chaplain is to offer spiritual guidance and support to individuals dealing with trying circumstances. For example in hospitals, and prisons. While this is an important part of our faith there are also opportunities to work closely with young people in our schools and universities, guiding them as they find their path in life.

Here at the Diocese of Salford we are blessed to have many active chaplains both religious and lay working across our schools, universities, hospitals and prisons. This section will give you an opportunity to explore the work of our chaplains.

Please click on our chaplaincy pages for more details of their work.
