They said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?’That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together. They were saying, ‘The Lord has risen indeed, and he has appeared to Simon!’ Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread. The Vicariate for Formation seeks to promote the Church’s vision that the welcoming of adults and their initiation, according to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the model for all faith formation. We seek to resource and support parishes in their formation of new adult disciples. For help or advice about the RCIA, please contact   Fr. Chris Lough

The initiation of catechumens is a gradual process that takes place within the community of the faithful. By joining the catechumens in reflecting on the value of the paschal mystery and be renewing their own conversion, the faithful provide an example that will help the catechumens to obey the Holy Spirit more fruitfully.
