Education
Pledges of the Trust |
Welcome
The DEEP Trust extends a truly Christian welcome to all members of our school and college communities. Consequently, all people involved in the education of our children and students - teachers, teaching assistants, school support staff, chaplains, head teachers, aspiring leaders, governors, clergy and diocesan colleagues, are invited to be both companions and champions of the Trust.
We pledge to provide open access to professional development, which is directed by schools and serves their prioritised needs.
Welfare
The DEEP Trust recognises our vocation and our privilege to work with the children and young people in our schools and colleges. We believe there is a corresponding right to have access to the best professional support, which is essential for the professional welfare of all those involved in our schools.
We pledge to support professionals in their educational vocation with enthusiasm and competence. We pledge to provide pathways to increased competencies and qualifications.
Witness
The DEEP Trust will encourage us to prefer each others needs. The DEEP Trust will work to build the capabilities, gifts and competences of everyone, through the power of shared expertise and networking. Continued professional development is the life blood of good practice and working together we are stronger.
We pledge to encourage co-operation and partnership between our family of schools & colleges, who share similar challenges and opportunities.
Word
The DEEP Trust will endeavour to spread the Word of God within, between and beyond our learning communities. The Word will be our constant guide, inspiration, challenge and companion to which our actions will testify. Consequently, our maxim is expressed in our mission: I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full (John 10,10).
We pledge to provide access to enlightened and thought-provoking practitioners and leaders from within and beyond our diocesan family.
