Mission
I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full. John 10,10

The Department for Formation has four inter-related services (outlined above) for schools and colleges in the Diocese of Salford.

In terms of  Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the Department has established the DEEP Trust, which identifies need and make provision to ensure the highest quality Religious Education in schools and colleges.

The DEEP Trust operates through the Department for Formation, in partnership with the schools, through the Trust’s “Visioning Group”. The Visioning Group is made up of representatives from all sectors of schools and colleges. The Group meets each term to monitoring & identifying CPD priorities and develop the “Vision” for CPD in our Diocese. The Department recognises the significant value and impact of having this “grass roots” dimension for the Trust.
