You did not choose me, but I chose you and
appointed you that you should go and bear fruit
and that your fruit should last.

Vocations

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintEmail

It might seem a little daunting to know that we all have a vocation. But this is simply to say that God has a plan for each one of us. That is what a vocation is - a call from God, to become the saint that he wants us to be.

This section explores what a vocation is, and discusses how it can be recognised.

Much of the content in this section reproduces or paraphrases that of an excellent booklet by Fr Stephen Wang, dean of studies at Allen Hall seminary in the Archdiocese of Westminster. We gratefully acknowledge his generosity in making it available for this website. You might be interested in Fr Wang's blog, which offers reflections on today's cultural landscape.
