Let’s show bags of kindness to people facing homelessness this winter

Thursday 14th November 2019

Do you have a spare backpack or handbag lying around in your home?  If you do, why not put it to good use by packing it with useful necessities that will make life a little easier for homeless people this winter.

Simply fill a bag with snacks, warm hats, hygiene products, hand gels and drop it off at one of Caritas’ designated locations. Then Cornerstone will distribute them to people in our diocese who are facing homelessness.

Cornerstone is a day centre providing a warm, safe and comfortable environment within which their clients can access our services, rest or meet other clients and socialise.  At Cornerstone there is a volunteer barber, a computer room, optometrists, a night shelter and the opportunity for clients to receive one to one support and advice.

Caritas Salford has over 700 volunteers across more than 20 projects who, along with service users, are at the heart of each project.

You can drop your filled bags off at Cornerstone Day Centre or at any Caritas project and at the Cathedral Centre.
