Diocesan Walk for CreationSunday 2nd October 2022
On Sunday 2 October, we will be holding a special walk to reflect on the beauty of the earth and our call to be guardians of creation.
The walk follows on from the successful climate walk held in the Salford deanery last year, ahead of COP26, and is returning this autumn due to popular demand.
This year’s walk will take place the Sunday before the Feast of St Francis – the patron saint of ecology – and will once again offer us the chance to rethink our relationship with the earth and its Creator.
The walk will include a number of different stops, during which we will have the opportunity for a short reflection and to discover more about key teachings from Pope Francis about our responsibility to hear the “cry of the earth and the cry of the poor”.
More details regarding the Diocesan Walk for Creation will be announced soon, so please check back soon for further information.
