Sharing the Hope Day 1 – Bolton, Salford, and Bury/Rochdale Deaneries

Cardinal Langley RC High School, Middleton, Manchester, M24 2GL
Saturday 21st January 2023
10:00am-14:00pm

These Deanery Days will provide an opportunity for individuals, parishes, and deaneries to learn more about the needs in their community and then to prayerfully discern how best to respond, with the resources available to them.

The day will include a Facilitated Social Activism Planning session in small groups using the See, Judge, Act method. It is hoped the input, opportunity for networking and resources provided on the day will equip communities to be a greater beacon of hope in their locality, both in the short and long term.

The days will be facilitated by Phil Callaghan. Phil currently works in church engagement for a social action charity. He has been involved with the Young Christian Workers (YCW) movement since the age of 14. He has served as the national president and is now the chair of trustees for YCW. He researched the ‘See, Judge, Act’ methodology during his master’s degree and has facilitated a wide range of groups in this process of social activism planning.

The event is designed for those already involved in social action and those wishing to get involved. All are welcome!

Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
