Thinking of Caritas Fostering….??

Friday 10th May 2019

Caritas Fostering is CELEBRATING Fostering Fortnight 2019 with our team of caring, skilled, hard-working, energetic fostering families who for a further 12 months have provided safe, nurturing and supportive homes to the most vulnerable children and young people and families in society when in need of safe and understanding provision to meet their individual need.

As a not for profit charitable fostering service we CELEBRATE the achievements of each of the children and young people placed with our families; including the excellent GCSE, SATS and NVQ results, 100% attendance at school, college; the part-time employment and community volunteering young people are involved with and the sporting and artistic successes.

This May we again look forward to welcoming new families to join our fostering team to enable us to continue to offer nurturing and caring family homes to the most vulnerable children, young people, and provide a supportive home for a parent & child who need guidance, support and positive role models.

On a national scale, the numbers of children and young people coming into the care system is rising year on year, so there is an urgent need to recruit families. Despite some common myths your age, race, sexual orientation, religion, marital or employment status, will not affect your ability to become a foster carer. The only requirements are that you have a spare bedroom and the availability and want to provide a home for the most vulnerable children and young people.

If you are interested in fostering with CARITAS and becoming a part of our dynamic team of fostering families who offer the opportunity to #change a future…….we would be delighted to hear from you.

We are holding a Fostering Celebration & Information Event on Friday 17th May 2019, 12noon until 2pm at our base The Cathedral Centre, 3 Ford Street, Salford M3 6DP

We would love to see you there to share in the celebrations and achievements, meet our social work colleagues who will share information who offer guidance, support and on-going development through both the application process and continuing fostering approval.
