Date announced for 2024 Pilgrimage to Walsingham

We are delighted to announce the date for next year’s annual diocesan pilgrimage to Walsingham.

Each year, hundreds of pilgrims from across the diocese journey to Our Lady’s shrine at Walsingham to take part in a prayerful procession and Mass led by Bishop John.

This year, more than 500 people took part in this much-loved tradition, as well more than 20 secondary-school pupils who joined Salford Youth Ministry for their own pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage this year also offered – for the very first time – an overnight option to give pilgrims the opportunity to spend more time in private prayer.

Due to the popularity of this offer, we are thrilled to be offering this extended stay once again when our pilgrimage returns next year.

The day pilgrimage will take place on Saturday 4th May.
