Date for 2023 Walsingham Pilgrimage announced

Saturday 2nd July 2022

Following the success of our diocesan pilgrimage to Walsingham earlier this year, we are delighted to announce the date for our return in 2023.

More than 500 pilgrims from across the diocese made the journey to Our Lady’s shrine at Walsingham in May, after a two-year break due to the pandemic.

This year also saw our first ever two-day pilgrimage for young people in years 7-9, led by Salford Youth Ministry.

Now, we are pleased to confirm that our annual diocesan pilgrimage will be returning on Saturday 20th May 2023.

This has been changed from Saturday 6th May due to the coronation of King Charles III.

In addition, as a result of feedback from this year’s pilgrimage, there will also be a limited number of places for an overnight stay.

You can now register your interest to join our pilgrimage to Walsingham in 2023 or to receive more information.

We would also like to hear from anyone wishing to take a group and anyone who would like to be involved as a volunteer on the pilgrimage.

For more information and to register your interest, please call 0161 817 2214 or 07436 077509, or email walsingham.pilgrimage@dioceseofsalford.org.uk
