Youth and Young Adults

Welcome to Salford Youth and Young Adults Ministry!

Salford Youth and Young Adults Ministry is the home of the Catholic Church for young people in the Diocese of Salford.

Taking inspiration from Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, we seek to:

  • “Empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today”;
  • “Draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community”;
  • “Foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person”.

We believe that God has a unique plan for each one of us; a plan that will lead to the building of His kingdom and our ultimate happiness.

Our aim is to help each young person to grow in faith, to discern what their unique mission is, and to help them live out God’s plan for them.

As such, we take great inspiration from St. Catherine of Siena – the patron saint for youth in our diocese – and echo her powerful words of advice: “Be who God wants you to be and you will set the world on fire.”
